Disabled People.

Anybody else noticed how somebody who knows a disabled person instantly turns into a warrior for human rights?
I recently made an offhand 'your mum' joke, and got faced with the reply "my mum is disabled". Well, I couldn't believe my luck! I smirked instantly and replied "well, at least the parts that matter, work ;)"
Who wouldn't think that's funny?!
Well, apparently, not this girl, or her illiterate friends.

This makes me think, why is it socially unacceptable to laugh at disabled people when they do/say something funny?
Would we not laugh if an able-bodied person did or said something funny?
Surely not laughing at them is a type of discrimination?
They may then get the impression that they are not funny, and that's just not fair is it?

Everybody reading this has laughed at disabled person in the past. So please people, get off your high horse and admit, some things are just DAMN FUNNY.
